Aussie curves – Ruffles.
Another week and another Aussie Curves challenge! The year of AC is nearly over and I’ve just had so much fun over these last few weeks putting together new outfits and really experimenting with my style.
This weeks challenge is ruffles, something that, like Pink week a few weeks back, I really didn’t have much of in my wardrobe.
If you had opened my wardrobe a few years ago I’m sure there would have been heaps of choices for this week, however as I’ve grown older I think my style has matured a little slightly and I’ve put down all the crazy ditsy floral and ruffled sleeves and headed more towards better tailored clothes, a slightly more mature palette and definitely a lot more black.
(That’s not to say I don’t love a good silly pose time to time!)
I picked up this Piper top via Savers over a month ago and it’s been sitting in my cupboard unworn and still tagged since. It was such a bargain buy and I just couldn’t pass it up, as I knew I would love it come Summer. I must admit, as warm and bright as it is, it really didn’t protect me from Melbourne’s arcticly chilly winds this pass weekend. So it back into the depths of my wardrobe for now, until it at least warms up, I dunno, 30 degrees?
I’ve been working quite a bit this past week, as I write I’m about to head off to the start of a 7 day work week, kicking off with a 12-9 shift (I can feel the coffee/sugar rush already) so my posts haven’t been quite as regular as I would like, I usually have only 1 day a week to get my blog shoots done and thats if we have good enough weather, so I’m hoping to get my routine a little tighter to be pumping out Aussie Curves posts as well as regular OOTD posts too. So stay posted!

Such a cute shirt, I love the print and they way you’ve matched it with a 1920s hat, to give that whole ‘Great Gatsby’ look. I picked up a Piper dress for $5 here in Canberra, but very jealous of Melbournians who have Savers! 🙂
I love the pretty colours of the top and I think it looks great styled with black 🙂 I have to say when I was younger I was all about the black, tailored subdued colours, but as I’ve gotten older my wardrobe has gotten crazier! Who knows what I will be wearing by the time I hit 50 🙂
Super cute, I love this outfit 🙂
Great outfit! And I LOVE the turban.
Gorgeous as always, Taylor! I love this whole outfit!
I LOVE THIS. Great outfit and I adore you in this turban. Just gorgeous.
wow! i can’t believe i’ve only just discovered your blog! it’s so wonderful! i love that turban on you – it looks so beautifully dramatic.
& i too am envious of melbournians who have savers!
I love your style !
Greetings from Poland 🙂
